Visit the
flagships

Seeing the SOWISE+ technologies operating at industrial scale will be an important part of the project's stakeholder-engagement and replication activities.

Once the flagship facilities have been completed and are operational, SOWISE+ will organise at least two on-site visits between Month 25 and Month 60 of the project. The visits will allow participants to see how the technologies are integrated with Contarina's existing waste-management infrastructure and to learn directly from the experience gained during construction, commissioning and operation.

The visits will serve two complementary purposes. For professional stakeholders — including waste-management operators, bio-based industries, local and regional authorities, policymakers and organisations interested in replication — they will provide an opportunity to exchange knowledge, discuss technical and operational experience and explore how the SOWISE+ model could be transferred to other European territories.

Visits will also support awareness and social acceptance among citizens, consumer groups and public authorities by showing how separately collected urban waste can be transformed into useful new materials and products.
