Role in Project

UNIVE covers several roles in the project. First of all, it contributes to the preparation of the project templates for the implementation of the PHA synthesis demonstration plant and to all the necessary activities related to permits and End-of-Waste (EoW) procedures. UNIVE is responsible for the design, construction and commissioning of the pilot plant to be operated alongside the demonstration plant. It will monitor both the pilot and demonstration plants throughout the project and manage the various tests at pilot scale. UNIVE is also responsible for all aspects related to the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Safe and Sustainable by Design (SSbD) of the entire value chain.
