Role in Project

Las Rozas Innova serves as replicator city for the SOWISE+ project in Spain. Its primary responsibility is to analyse whether the model for recovering value from urban biowaste and absorbent hygiene products can be implemented in other contexts. To this end, it will assess the technical, economic, regulatory, logistical, and social conditions at the local, regional, and national levels, identifying the barriers, opportunities, and necessary adaptations for its future implementation. It will also contribute to communication, dissemination, and the transfer of results, facilitating the replication of the SOWISE+ model in other European municipalities and regions.

Organization Description

Las Rozas Innova is the Public Innovation Company of the City Council of Las Rozas. It promotes the city's technological and innovative ecosystem, attracting and connecting talent, investors, entrepreneurship, companies and public administration looking for a smart and sustainable city. Founded in April 2020, its aim is to transform Las Rozas into the most innovative city in Spain, where technology enables sustainable change.
